Company History
13Motorsports was created for one main purpose: to provide race teams of all levels with a unique opportunity to grow their exposure. With the ever-growing awareness of off-road racing nationwide, race teams need name recognition now more than ever.
The founder of 13Motorsports, Chris Coughlin was practically raised in the dirt. Starting at a young age, Chris showed a unique fascination with all things mechanical. Growing up, he was never far from his Jeeps and other off-road vehicles. During college, he designed and built several SAE Baja vehicles, including the 2009 National Championship car.
After becoming involved in Rally Racing and Short Course Off-Road Racing during college, Chris met his future fiance (pictured in the buggy above!) at Crandon Raceway while working for a Pro-2 crew. Spending time among the multitude of sportsman race teams, he recognized the important need for team name exposure.
Discussions with friends and family in various motorsports eventually led to the development of 13Motorports.
